One Mother Carries
Year of Creation: 2014 | Published: 2017-05-27 | Theme: motherhood

One mother carries
her baby like a treasure:
            nobody must see
Another carries her baby like a waitress
a third one hides her baby between her breasts
and drags her shoulders on top

One dangles her baby
            as any commodity
another has the glow of shame on her face
a third one chats to her baby as if equal

One mother lets the baby see the world
            another wears eight centimetre heels
the third one never stops snapping

One carries her baby like china
            another like a trophy
a third one like a tightrope walker
now every step must be placed precisely
