THREE POEMS

I see my future
Sitting in the hotel lobby bar
Reddish cheeks
Drinking beer

It looks at the market
And sees nothing and no one
There is no agreed meeting with anyone

except death.
Nobody will be late for that meeting.
Nobody will miss it.

And all music is protection against sorrow
And the Mountain of the sick moon is shadow only
And here is the peak

I go to the summer cottage to sit in the porch of the sauna
Like a poet.
Athens is ah so far away
But also here you can hunt for fauns
And see the nymph walking on the beach
With her skirt, horns
When the bottle of whiskey is nearly empty.
