On the 10th March 2016 we, the Municipality of Lousada, presented to local community a celebration activity programme related to our most famous poet – Álvaro Feijó, born in 1916. So, we are celebrating his 100th anniversary. To Celebrate the Poet (this is the name of the activity programme) we are going to organize an activity every month, starting from March until December this year.
To present the programme the Municipality of Lousada invited one of the most famous and respected Portuguese poets Manuel Alegre, who is also a politician and a very close friend of the Feijó family.
ePublisher project and poetry platform were presented to the participants of the event.
The Public Library of the Municipality of Lousada decided to celebrate the International Women’s Day with poetry.
On 25th February a Poetry Reading Contest was organised at the Caíde de Rei Secondary School.
In February TKKY in cooperation with their local partner Turun kristillinen opisto have organized a series of poetry events in Finland.
The Portuguese project partner the Municipality of Lousada presented the ePublisher project in the Municipal Cultural Magazine.
On 29th January, SIH held a meeting with the staff and visitors of the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. Representatives of SIH introduced to the audience two ongoing international projects, coordinated by SIH – ePublisher and Seniors On-line.
