On 20th October 2016 in the church of Varissuo in Turku a poetry evening dedicated to Armas Hiiri, the ePublisher poet of the month was organised. The event was organized by the association Inkerinliitto. Representatives of TKKY took part in the event on behalf of ePublisher project. Svetlana Myhkyrä presented the project ePublisher to the participants.
Evgeni Shorohov, a composer and guitar player from Petrozavodsk performed by guitar the works of Armas Hiiri based on the Kalevala – the famous epic poem of Finland, which has become part of world literature: the epic has been translated into more than 60 languages. The representative from Inkerinliitto Martti Hirvonen thanked Armas Hiiri for his important work, the translation of Kalevala from Finnish to Russian language.
On Sunday, the 7th of October TKKY organized the poetry event in Turku.
On a rainy morning of the 7th of October, a large group of the most active participants of the ePublisher project – poets, translators and lovers of the poetry, went on an exciting trip to the poetic Kaunas, the 2nd largest Lithuania’s city, resting at the confluence of country’s two largest rivers, Neris and Nemunas.
The third consortium meeting was held on 26-27 September in Turku (FI).
The traditional membership event of the Lithuanian Association of Adult Education was held in Rumsiskes (LT) on 10-11 September 2016.
