It's Tuesday,
peaceful and usual
as it's supposed to be
for me and for others.
The cup, filled with coffee,
reaches my lips
and I feel its bitter flavor.
It's Tuesday, September 11th, 2001.

I turn on the TV news,
and I see:
Evil in human form
tries to destroy our freedom again...
This time,
the twin tours are burning down
in the heart
of New York city.

I see:
The Evil in human form
is nailing the Prophet's body,
He is tearing His soul apart
on the surface of our planet...

Lord, why do you teach us forgiveness?
O Lord!
Why do we need to witness
the heavy smoke like a living hell
upon the streets and the buildings?...

I pray:
New York,
keep yourself strong,
keep yourself alive,
let your heroes rise
from Ground Zero
to the innocent skies,
let your heroes rise!

And they did.

I saw:
Three thousand angels
flying up to the stars,
that I can be free to pray
and drink my own tears...

New York city was standing
still and proud.
