Every night before going to sleep
he took his watch and put the compass on
and started searching for north
                      he turned right, stomped back
                      stepped on one foothold, then to the left
until he froze
                      and smiled
 
He looked at his wife
                      and was able to take the strongest complaints
He put his daughter to sleep
                      with only three touches
 
He watched the TV news end of the world
                      with light heart
