International Festival “Poezijos pavasaris” (Poetry Spring)

For the fifteen festival days, more than 150 various events take place: poetry readings, the evening of the “Poetry Spring” laureates, author evenings of outstanding poets, readings of young authors of the performing poetry evening, student readings, poetic performances, evenings of the festival guests, evenings, designed to commemorate classics of Lithuanian literature and famous poets, poetic-musical improvisations, parties, opening exhibitions, etc.

 

Festival events attract not only Lithuanian, but also foreign listeners (from countries, where there are large Lithuanian communities). The annual international conference of poets and critics is held, where current topics from the world of literature are discussed.

The poetry of Lithuanian poet Donaldas Kajokas will be presented to the public and read in Italian.

 

In occasione della Giornata dell'Indipendenza della Lituania, abbiamo il piacere di invitarvi alla serata di poesia del lituano Donaldas Kajokas.

 

Leggeremo, in italiano e lituano, le poesie tratte dal libro All'asinello sordo - Poesie di Donaldas Kajokas (Effigie, 2018), racconteremo della storia del popolo lituano e della sua letteratura, parleremo di... asinelli sordi e di neve.

 

Intervengono la traduttrice Jurga Po e l'attore e poeta Davide Ferrari. A seguire aperitivo.

Internationalisation for a Better World - Presentation of the NICE Award 2019

Under the leadership of the european centre for creative economy (ecce) the Award for Innovations in Culture and Creativity in Europe (NICE) was initiated in 2013 at the UNESCO World Heritage Zeche Zollverein in Essen in collaboration with 15 cities, universities and institutions from 10 nations. It aims to promote innovations from the cultural and creative industries in Europe.

 

Out of 55 applications from 19 nations, the NICE Award jury has selected 8 projects, including "ePublisher" project, for the shortlist.

XXIX International Literature Festival Druskininkai Poetic Fall 2018

Druskininkai Poetic Fall festival is one of the most important literature events in Lithuania. It is an international poetry festival held every autumn in October since 1990. The festival begins in Vilnius with Presentation of Anthology and leaves to Druskininkai where all other Festival activities are held. The theme of the festival in 2018 will be "Poetry: the Sound and Fury“.
